Cultural Link Program 

The Cultural Link Program offers several classes and activities, led by local experts, at a slower pace, as well as involvement in the rural youth centers. It is also possible to participate in supplementary excursions on the weekends. It Includes excursions to places of tourist interest in different cities, towns and villages. 

The Program also includes full orientation on arrival, Homestay accommodation, airport/ station pickup and a home-cooked Indian breakfasts. It does not include travel costs, visa fees, insurance or in-country transport outside of the program. Please note that some activities are seasonal and may differ from those listed here.

What is Included in the Program?

• • Personal skill training to facilitate effective participation
  • Pre-arrival orientation on social issues in India
  • Information about getting around the city, guides, listings, tips, maps, health and safety issues
  • Initial support to locate public transportation means to and from the project
  • Airport, bus or train station pickup and drop by  a representative
  • Lodging throughout the program with Chandra Niwas, our Homestay 
  • Language sessions- learn basic Hindi phrases
  • Rural excursions
  • Indian cooking classes
  • Yoga classes
  • Permaculture garden- organic gardening and collecting vegetables
    
  • Assistance in the case of emergencies

What's Not Included in the Program?

• Travel fees to India
  
• Visa costs
  
• Insurance (Participants should buy their own health and travel insurance)
  
• In-country transport outside of the program
